Sally began in career in the Fashion Industry training at Harrods and M & S. She them entered the City of London training as a Broker with a city firm where she successfully brokered deals within the commercial field. Sally’s experience includes being an equity partner in a corporate finance company which work with clients who are seeking to expand their businesses, and eventually exit by way of strategic growth and investment. Because of her extensive network she was responsible for attracting new business and raising capital for existing clients, whist building an impressive database.

Most recently Sally has been assisting a professional sports association with their commercial development and with the career and educational development of its members.

An Ex England International Rugby Player with a glittering career over the past 14 years, Tom has 9 major trophies to his name, alongside being known as a top finisher. Prior to retiring from rugby in June 2013, Tom was introduced to Sally to discuss his options for the future and through her mentoring and her network was able to form a considered opinion as to the career path and sector that he would thrive in and prosper.

Tom was offered a position with Baydonhill, a leading FX company, where his experience in leadership, public speaking and networking helped Baydonhill to build on what is already a strong team and help provide a first class experience for all its customers.

Because of the positive experience Tom had with SFB, and the input he provided, Sally invited him to become a Director.

Mike Denbee >>

While playing professional rugby with London Welsh, Mike was introduced to Sally at a networking event. They immediately hit it off and Sally agreed to mentor Mike to help develop his career outside of rugby.

Mike undertook various work experience days with several large organisations in the city and as a result of this opportunity, he managed to secure one day a week work experience at an insurance brokerage. He was advised to take a couple of insurance exams which led to an introduction to Bluefin. After a serious of meetings and some impressive negotiations (thanks to Sally’s mentoring), Mike was offered a job as one of Bluefin’s New Business Executives, which he accepted and joined the team in April 2014.

Sally asked Mike to become a Director of SFB due to the relationship they had developed over the previous 18 months. Mike is a perfect example of what SFB is all about and how it can create a smooth transition into city life.
